Art, in my view, is a personal expression of life’s beauty, which is constantly re-discovered.
My artwork shows the spirit of nature transferred into a landscape, still life or abstract. It is captured primarily using transparent watercolours and luminous acrylics, from subtle to vibrant colours. I like the feel of the paint that relates to the delicacy of the petals and other amazing natural elements such as softness of skies, intricacy of flowers or a natural colour and pattern design of mineral stones.
A piece of my artwork is a synthesis of my feelings created by looking at these natural beauties which are presented through vivid colours, organic shapes and rich textures.
Depending on inspirational moments, I will express myself through either soft and dreamy or strong and bold creations.
Regardless of the artist’s intentions and a message conveying, everyone sees something different in that same art expression. |

Born in former Yugoslavia, inspired by nature’s beauty, specifically skies, poppies and sunflowers, Olga Radocaj has expressed her art talent at an early age and began painting in oil as a high school student. Her dream was to become a modern artist. Unfortunately, she could not afford to become “just a boem”, and her career path lead her in a different direction - Food Science. After graduating, she obtained two Master’s degrees in the same field and did not paint actively for many years.
When she and her family immigrated to Canada in 1994, her new life began with an opportunity to paint. Primarily a self-taught artist, Olga became involved in transparent watercolour painting at Visual Arts Mississauga -Springbank Art Centre four years ago with several established artists and continued to learn through workshops, both watercolour and acrylic.
A number of artists have had a major influence on her artwork and have helped her choose her own style. She primarily paints in watercolours, acrylic and mixed media. Her favourite expressions are landscapes, still lifes, florals and abstract themes, capturing the essence of the subject matter with a dreamy, soft look.
Olga is a member of several Art Associations and her original paintings are sold through the art exhibitions and shows in Toronto and GTA areas.
She had several solo and many group exhibitions during the four years she spent passionately painting and expressing her true inner-self.
